閱讀是一生的享受和功課；作者陳坤田老師於此書傳授閱讀技巧，並以多元豐富的題材幫助讀者增進閱讀能力，進而愛上閱讀。
本書共分五章，第一章提齣十四要點，從理論到技巧，釐清迷思，為閱讀做準備。
第二章開始為50篇分類文章，分彆有中西寓言、改寫小說及劇本(如簡愛、哈姆雷特…等)，文章後均有解說及是非題，以幫助讀者充分瞭解寓言、小說、和劇本的寓意及意義。
最後一章模擬大學入學學科能力測驗和指定科目考試中 ，具有知識性、趣味性和教育性的短文(short passages)；短文後，模仿大考形式，附上閱讀測驗試題，以幫助讀者準備應考。
作者簡介

颱大外文係畢業，美國密西根大學英文碩士，曾任大考中心研究員，現為高中英文教師。著有：《大學入學考試試題分析》（大考中心）、《破解剋漏字密碼》（冠智）、《英文閱讀與寫作》（詮達）、《英文作文輕鬆得分指南》《英文學科能力測驗全真試題》（書林）等。主要研究包括：英文作文命題與評分、英文作文評分指標、高中英文常用字匯、英文寫作能力測驗規劃、學測與指考命題等。
