　　本书共分五章，第一章提出十四要点，从理论到技巧，釐清迷思，为阅读做准备。

　　第二章开始为50篇分类文章，分别有中西寓言、改写小说及剧本(如简爱、哈姆雷特…等)，文章后均有解说及是非题，以帮助读者充分了解寓言、小说、和剧本的寓意及意义。

　　最后一章模拟大学入学学科能力测验和指定科目考试中 ，具有知识性、趣味性和教育性的短文(short passages)；短文后，模仿大考形式，附上阅读测验试题，以帮助读者准备应考。

作者简介

陈坤田

　　台大外文系毕业，美国密西根大学英文硕士，曾任大考中心研究员，现为高中英文教师。着有：《大学入学考试试题分析》（大考中心）、《破解克漏字密码》（冠智）、《英文阅读与写作》（诠达）、《英文作文轻松得分指南》《英文学科能力测验全真试题》（书林）等。主要研究包括：英文作文命题与评分、英文作文评分指标、高中英文常用字汇、英文写作能力测验规划、学测与指考命题等。
