Description
Each Student Book in the three-level Listening Point series features twelve units accompanied by Workbook and Teacher's Guide.
Features
‧Language presented through familiar themes and contexts in fun and engaging activities presented in colorful, clear, well-designed pages.
‧Each unit has a vocabulary, sentence pattern and grammatical focus that are practiced through carefully graded listening activities.
‧Tasks that are based around active listening techniques following the "Top Down" approach to language learning.
‧Listening skills are integrated with speaking, reading and writing in order to develop a truly authentic whole learning experience.
Each Unit Contains The Following Components:
‧WARM-UP：This introduces the core language, extended language and vocabulary of the unit in a real life context with characters similar in age to the students.
‧Learn To Listen: A series of graded activities to develop awareness and comprehension of the core unit language. Students are also introduced to extended language to actively engage with the practice.
‧WHILE YOU LISTEN：The core language, extended language and vocabulary of the unit is practiced in longer listening activities that encourage students to listen for and identify different kinds of information.
‧AFTER YOU LISTEN：This integrates the language of the unit with speaking and writing with an emphasis on students personalizing the language and communicating with others
‧CAN DO：Statements are shown at the beginning of each unit to show the key learning targets. At the end of each unit, students can assess how well they have achieved the targets.
