湯米．溫格爾(Tomi Ungerer)
1931年11月28日齣生於今法國斯特拉斯堡，為通曉英文、德文、法文三種文字的插畫傢、作傢。1998年獲得國際安徒生插畫大奬，評審團盛贊他為「兒童繪本創作世界的大巨人」。溫格爾曾形容自己是一個故事講述者和諷刺作傢，他的作品充滿黑色幽默，擅長以尖銳諷刺的觀點和幽默詼諧的語言，提齣對人性、教育、政治、社會現象各種看法。他的風格大膽、鮮艷、創新、叛逆又獨特，但透過他獨特的觀察角度看人間冷暖，往往又會讓人重新思考他作品中的涵義並且會心一笑。因為他在童書領域的貢獻，近年陸續獲法國兒童及青少年文學奬(Prix Spécial Sorcière)、湯瑪斯納斯特奬(Thomas-Nast-Medaille)以及紐約插畫傢協會頒發的終生成就奬。2012年，講述他生平的紀錄片《遙遠不夠遠：湯米‧溫格爾的故事》(Tomi Ungerer. 這隻鯊魚攻擊船長撒摩發，還好有一隻熱心的章魚趕過來拯救他，牠的名字叫做艾米爾，大章魚艾米爾往鯊魚的喉嚨扔進瞭一塊大石頭。
然後艾米爾拉著船長，一起遊到瞭海麵上。
