作者简介

沈端阳

　　海军上校退役。国防语言中心西班牙文班毕业，军旅期间，专精外购业务，曾被派驻国外多年，熟悉多国语言。退休后旅居美国十余年，研究、蒐集美语沟通资料，并创发独到之教学法。回国后主要投身公益活动，协助志工团体翻译、国际公关等工作，并义务开设美语会话课程，目前于南阳义学担任美语讲师。

Part 2　二字部

二字部可以说是学习起来最有趣、也最有成就感的部分了。因为它简单易学，又更能完整表达意思，简单两个字，就足以应付许多日常生活中的会话。我所选的第一大类是电影、影集中常听到，却因为不太了解意思而不会用的词汇。例如：遇到紧急情况，会跟同伴大喊：「Do something!」快想想办法！又例如：「We'll see.」再说再说、等着瞧，明白意思后，日常生活中其实非常好用。

第二大类是生活中常用到的口语，但我们却很陌生，例如：「Dream on!」你作梦！「Rest assured!」放心啦！「That's that!」不用再说了，就这样。像这种生活化的词汇，我们之所以感到陌生，是因为国内较少见道地的美国口语教学，若非生活在美语环境里，是接触不到的。

第三大类是较精确的用法，例如：我们对某件事的成因有疑问时，会问：「为什么？」但在这种情境下不能用「Why?」而是要用「How come?」（怎么会这様？）较为精准。

进入二字部，应可发现这些生活中的词汇，简单又有趣，又能传达情绪， 也是平常在书本中学不到的。学会以后，与老美沟通，相信会更有信心。

2-8 Dream on!（痴心妄想；别作梦了）
有些人喜欢做白日梦Daydream，结果总是得到「痴心妄想」的结局，当你看不惯对方的想法时，就回答他：「Dream on!（别作梦了）」
