作者簡介

James Hugh Gough

　　James Hugh Gough is a Canadian writer-illustrator based in Taipei, Taiwan. His second book, “On an Island On the Sea” follows an elderly man as he searches for the pals of his youth. It is a beautifully illustrated poem that celebrates the wonders of life and friendship. It lauds the beauty of our journey on Earth, reminding us that there is magic and possibility around every corner.

　　James Hugh Gough has worked as a manager, teacher as well as writer and art director during his sixteen years in Taiwan. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant art director on television shows including, “Peter Benchley’s, Amazon” in Toronto, Canada. His first book, “The Great Skate,” was released last year. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Guelph.

　　James Hugh Gough是一位加拿大作傢 - 插畫傢，現居颱灣颱北。《天涯一海島》是James Hugh Gough的第二本創作。透過搭配精彩插畫的優美詩句，來贊揚生命與友誼的奇蹟。這本書歌頌瞭人生旅途的美麗光景，提醒瞭我們魔法與奇蹟無所不在。

　　James Hugh Gough在颱灣的十六年間，曾擔任學校的經理，教師，作傢和藝術總監。在此之前，他在加拿大多倫多的電視節目上擔任藝術總監助理。他的第一本繪本創作「溜冰大冒險」於去年發行。他畢業於加拿大貴湖大學(University of Guelph)主修英國文學係。
