　　◎This is the Part-One (Radical Index - Stroke No. 1-2) of Twelve printouts from the on-line dictionary that is currently under developing.

　　◎This unprecedented, intelligent, convenient and useful Tool provides “Pin Yin” (spelled in English) of Traditional Chinese characters.

　　◎Along with Stroke-by-Stroke writings for each character’s Radical and additional strokes, it is possible to learn Chinese ubiquitously.

　　The stroke-sequences for writing radical-characters are also included in a separate nineteen-page section with the order of radical stroke number and sequence.

　　All the multiple ways of “Pin Yin” will also appear under multiple English letters. However, an unique sort key for the Last Name found in 百傢姓 (the Hundred Family Surnames) is highlighted and used for grouping the same Last Name in Traditional Character with different Last Name in English. For example, 鄭 can be found as Cheng, Jeng and Zheng in all 3 places with Cheng marked as sort-key. Therefore, all 鄭s will be grouped under Cheng when creating a roster.

　　This book (Part-One of Twelve) is the printouts from the databases that I designed for Ez2Vital Software Inc. – the company my husband Tim H. C. Lin, Ph.D. and I co-founded in 2005. Before the software is released, this book can be referenced for writing and pronouncing the Traditional Chinese characters with Stroke No. 1 and 2 listed on Radical Index. As for the meanings in English, please refer to “Pin-Yin” Chinese-English dictionaries on the markets. However, for the Mandarin speakers, it may require to lookup a Chinese dictionary to obtain the spellings in English for the character before looking up “Pin-Yin” Chinese-English Dictionary.

　　When Part One – Part Twelve all are published, the online software will include nearly 10,000 Traditional Chinese characters. As mentioned in the Preface of the “pioneering” edition, it is designed for writing traditional Chinese characters with correct stroke-sequences (starting with radical-characters) and multiple ways of spelling for pronunciation (starting with Last Names and radical-characters). Also, by applying the same idea for a “Plural-Surname” – a Last Name with more than one character, building words / idioms / phrases with as many as characters is also included my database design. In addition, the creation of the editions for any other languages is possible with a little effort.
