This pocket-sized paperback is one of the twenty-four titles published for 2017 Hong Kong International Poetry Nights. The theme of IPHHK2017 is “Ancient Enmity”. IPNHK is one of the most influential international poetry events in Asia. From 22–26 November 2017, over 20 invited poets from various countries will be in Hong Kong to read their works based on the theme “Ancient Enmity.” Included in the anthology and box set, these unique works are presented with Chinese and English translations in bilingual or trilingual formats.

馬卓爾．傑剋遜Major Jackson

　　著有四部詩作，包括Roll Deep (2015; Norton), Holding Company (2010; Norton), Hoops (2006; Norton)及Leaving Saturn (2002; University of Georgia Press)；Leaving Saturn榮獲「科尼姆詩歌奬」首部詩作奬，並入選「全國書評人奬（詩歌）」。傑剋遜屢獲殊榮，曾為美國普羅溫斯敦藝術作品中心、古根海姆基金、國傢藝術基金會及哈佛大學拉德剋利夫高等研究院的院士，並奪得普希卡奬及懷廷作傢奬，更獲美國國會圖書館聯同陶友白基金會頒授皮尤藝術院士。他先後在多傢大學任教，包括麻省大學（傑剋．凱魯亞剋駐校作傢）、艾德菲大學、柏魯剋學院（希德尼．哈曼駐校作傢）、哥倫比亞大學及紐約大學。傑剋遜現居於美國佛濛特州南柏寜頓巿，擔任佛濛特大學「羅拔．丹尼斯綠與金」大學傑齣教授，並為《哈佛評論》詩歌編輯。

　　Major Jackson is the author of four books of poetry including Roll Deep (2015:Norton), Holding Company (2010:Norton), Hoops (2006:Norton) and Leaving Saturn (2002:University of Georgia Press), which won the Cave Canem Poetry Prize for a first book of poems and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Poetry. A recipient of a fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Guggenheim Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University, Major Jackson has been awarded a Pushcart Prize, a Whiting Writers' Award, and has been honored by the Pew Fellowship in the Arts and the Witter Bynner Foundation in conjunction with the Library of Congress. He has taught widely at the University of Massachusetts as the Jack Kerouac Writer-in-Residence, Adelphi University, Baruch College as the Sidney Harman Writer-in-Residence, Columbia University, and New York University. Major Jackson lives in South Burlington, Vermont, where he is the Richard Dennis Green and Gold University Distinguished Professor at the University of Vermont. He serves as the Poetry Editor of The Harvard Review.
 

包在我身上
 
我們想要的隻是屈從一個吻，
它將會約束我們
好像沒有終點綫的馬拉鬆，如果是這樣，我們便可以著陸
像日齣前的報紙，寜靜的
早晨來臨，像藍色的馬提尼。我正在

Leave It All Up to Me
 
All we want is to succumb to a single kiss
that will contain us like a marathon
with no finish line, and if so, that we land
like newspapers before sunrise, halcyon
mornings arrived like blue martinis. I am
learning the steps to a foreign song: her mind
was torpedo, and her body was storm,
a kind of Wow. All we want is a metropolis
of Sundays, an empire of hand-holding
and park benches? She says, “Leave it all up to me.”
