喬治．弗裏德裏剋．韓德爾，1685年生於哈雷，1759年卒於倫敦。德國齣生的作麯傢、管風琴傢（1726年入英國籍）。與巴哈同年齣生，二人均為巴洛剋音樂集大成的代錶人物。韓德爾的器樂作品（如奏鳴麯、大協奏麯等）堪稱一絕，而他那崇高壯麗、錶情生動、富有創新精神和感染力的藝術特點，在其歌劇和神劇中達到登峰造極的境地。

　　這首《奏鳴麯．作品一之三》原本是為小提琴與數字低音而作，現由薩剋斯風演奏傢李承育改編為中音薩剋斯風與鋼琴版本。

　　George Frideric HANDEL, born (1685) in Halle Germany, died (1759) in London England. A German-born composer and organist (naturalized British citizen in 1726). Handel was born the same year as J.S. Bach. Both are considered the greatest composers of Baroque music. Handel's instrumental compositions (such as sonatas, concerti grossi) were the most highly acclaimed of his work. However, it is in his operas and oratorios that the nobility, expressiveness, creativities, and captivation are appreciated the most.

　　The "Sonata Op.1 No.3" was originally composed for violin and basso continuo, now transcribed into an alto saxophone and piano piece by saxophonist Cheng-yu LEE.
