台中市发展的历史，跟台中车站的历史息息相关，从日治时代开始，台中车站前面沿线，
就是台中市最繁华的商业区，商业活动盛极一时，中区的居民非富即贵，自己小时候也见证到当时的繁华，面积不到一平方公里的中区，
有电影院跟百货公司的密度全台湾最高，这点连首都台北都比不上。
