作者简介
王寿来
国立中兴大学法律系毕业，美国乔治城大学硕士、国立台湾师范大学美术系硕士、博士。长期从事对外文宣及国际文化交流工作，先后担任新闻局驻旧金山新闻处主任、新闻局国际新闻处处长、新闻局视听处处长、行政院文化建设委员会第三处处长、参事、主任秘书，现为该会文化资产总管理处筹备处主任。着（译）有《公务员快意人生》、《和世界伟人面对面》、《艺术、收藏、我》、《加油，人生》、《友谊，是最好的礼物》、《英语格言谚语小辞典》、《心灵小札》、《珍珠寓言集》、《公务员DNA》、《说猫道狗》、《天堂的碎片》等书。曾为联合文学、联合报、历史月刊撰写专栏。一九九六年当选行政院模范公务人员。又为实践终身学习的理念，五十岁后苦习素描及中西艺术理论，考入师大美术研究所，先后取得硕士、博士学位。

杜布菲（Jean Dubuffet, 1901-1985）
法国当代艺术大师级画家、雕刻家和版画家，第二次世界大战后巴黎画派的主将。首先利用废弃物从事创作，1940年代末形成自己的风格，称为原生艺术（Art Brut），强调扬弃传统艺术形式，以发自内心的原始欲望及直觉来进行创作。杜氏不以抽象或具象来归类其作品，一般艺术史将他归类于「无形式主义」。作品有《地下铁》、《贵妇的身躯》等。
● 对我来说，疯狂反是超级理智。正常人个个头脑不清；正常，意味着缺乏想像、缺乏创意。
For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. Normal means lack of imagination, lack of creativity.
● 艺术是诉求于心灵，而非眼睛。原始人类一直就是如此看待艺术，而他们是对的。艺术是一种语言、知识的工具、沟通的工具。
Art addresses itself to the mind, and not to the eyes. It has always been considered in this way by primitive peoples, and they are right. Art is a language, instrument of knowledge, instrument of communication.

The modern artist, it seems to me, is working and expressing an inner world, in other words–expressing the energy, the motion and other inner forces.

It doesn’t make much difference how the paint is put on as long as something has been said. Technique is just a means of arriving at a statement.

When I’m painting, I’m not aware of what I’m doing. It’s

On the floor I am more at ease. I feel nearer, more part of the painting, since this way I can walk around it, work from the four sides and literally be in the painting.
