　　一九四五年对台湾而言，无异是一个时代的落幕与另一新时代的开始，青天白日与太阳旗的交替造就近代台湾有多族群的历史记忆。近年学界对于「光复」与「终战」或有不同的看法，本书以「光复与佔领」为题首，「光复」只是呈现出当时人的用法，而「佔领」则为援用当时军事接收执行计画之名称，并无其他用意；如前所述，台湾有多族群的历史记忆，对于不同族群历史的经验，理应採理解并尊重多元历史记忆的态度。

　　二○一四年个人执行国家发展委员会档案管理局之〈民国三十四至三十八年台湾的接收与治理档案教学资源素材编辑〉委託案，为本书主题撰写之发端，委託案完成后，个人持续国民政府军事接收台湾相关课题之探讨，撰写成论文发表于学报期刊。二○一五年度个人获得国立高雄师范大学研究优良奖励与教师暨研究人员学术研究计画补助，使已发表之论文研究得以扩大延伸成，形成本书之基础。

　　本书之副标题为「国民政府对台湾的军事接收」，有两点需加以说明，一为书名主题虽为军事接收研究，但实为档案史料研究，故重点在于建构史实；再者，国民政府军事接收台湾之课题庞大，本书仅能据档案史料论述，若有挂一漏万，无法周全，尚祈方家包涵指正为祷。又本书之刊行，除家人、学友、国家发展委员会档案管理局与个人服务之国立高雄师范大学的支持外，在出版业蓬勃但纸本书式微的电子资讯时代，秀威资讯科技股份有限公司能以知识普及分享的理念为先，出版非大众热门课题之专书，特申谢忱。
